French-German war

Korthals begins serious breeding program

1874-1877
Korthals acquires Janus, Junon, Banco, Hector, Satan

1875
Banco whelped

1877-1879
Korthals moves to Biebesheim am rhein, Germany

1879
Donna acquired in Germany.Longer coat

1882
Illness destroys 16 young dogs in Korthal’s kennel

1885
Vesta leased as a brood bitch. Good rough coats

1887
Korthals and 16 other breeders publish Breed standard

Zoletta register with AKC ( 1st dog in U.S.A)

1888
International Griffon Club formed

1895
Southern German Griffon Club in Bavaria formed

Royal Belgium Griffon Club formed

1896
Eduard Karel Korthals dies

1901
Club Francais du Griffon d’Arret aPoil Dur korthals formed

De Nederlandse Griffon Club formed

The Griffon Club of America formed

New Country life magazine published article about breed

W.P.G.C.A. split due to crossing of Cesky Fousek / Korthals

A.K.C recognises A.W.P.G.A as official national club of USA

2002
Application for the registration of the Korthals Griffon made to the Kennel Club ( U.K. )

2003
The first litter of Korthals Griffons born in the U.K. bred by Mr M.Taylor (sire Max des Bords du dan,dam Ryta de la Coipeane) 10 puppies 4 bitches, 6 dogs

2004
U.K. Korthals Griffon Club formed and Korthals Griffon put on to the Import register on 1st April and request to run in field trials was approved.
